Persepolis

Persepolis an autobiography about the life of Marjane Satrapi. An interesting story about Marjane's life growing up in an Iran, and facing religious and political turmoil every step of the way. She moved out of Iran in fear of the regime that shadowed her life. So she went to Vienna, Austria, where she lived in a boarding house. Ran by nuns. Marjane, although independent and headstrong, has her beliefs get her legally in trouble. Her passions lie in social activism. She hopes one day to see solutions for social inequalities and a world where old people do not need to suffer. This book doesn't take much time if you are dedicated to reading it. Although I really liked this book due to it's more realistic and serious nature. Taught me a lot about the issues back then, and even currently. If this sounds interesting, or you just want to learn more about this conflict and the perspective of someone who actually lived th
rough it, you should check out this book.

Sumarbrander

Sword of Summer, written by Rick Riordan, is one of the most interesting books written. Here's why.
Sumarbrander. Sword of Summer. The name of a sword with trust issues. Have you ever thought of a sword that could have trust issues, or could even have emotions? Maybe, just maybe, it's also held by a lost homeless boy named Magnus Chase. Well, I totally thought that too. Magnus Chase, just your ordinary kid, normal like everyone else. Until some wolves made him run from home. Yep, just some wolves. Did I forget mention Magnus was the son of a god? And just like all of us, he met his end. Although through pure perseverance, he didn't just stop at the pearly white gates. He passed it at went to a hotel instead. But because of this... he's not really just a demi-god anymore, oh, and he has a "family" of misfits from all over, the worlds... You're not reading that wrong. Multiple Worlds. Insane. Each ruled by a set of kings and gods. Traveled to and from using Yggdrasil. The World Tree. Although none of this was he choice. This book is about as chaotic as it sounds, and that's why I had such a good time reading it. If you decide that this book sounds fairly enticing and you go and read it. Tell me how it was for you!
